UPH Career Expo 2017

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) menyelenggarakan Career Expo 2017 dengan mengusung tema “A Bridge to a Brighter Future”, pada tanggal 3-4 Maret 2017 di Gedung D502 UPH Lippo Village, Karawaci. Career Expo kali ini merupakan kerja sama antara Departemen Alumni dan Corporate Relations dengan Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FaST) UPH.

Bursa kerja yang dibuka untuk publik ini menghadirkan lebih dari 45 perusahaan dan institusi pendidikan. Beberapa diantaranya adalah PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk, PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk, Orangtua Group, Berita Satu, Femina Group, Indomaret Group, Suzuki, PT. Ciptadana Securities, Aryaduta, English First dan perusahaan lainnya. YPPH dan UPH juga turut berpartisipasi membuka kesempatan kerja dalam Career Expo kali ini.

Tentunya setiap perusahaan maupun institusi berharap dapat menemukan lulusan-lulusan yang berkompeten di bidangnya. Tim rekrutmen Orangtua (OT) Group menyatakan pihaknya berharap mendapatkan sumber daya manusia berkualitas dari lulusan UPH. “Saat ini banyak lulusan UPH yang bekerja di OT, kami berharap dapat menemukan lulusan teknologi pangan UPH yang dikenal baik. Sepanjang pengalaman kami di OT, kami juga melihat beberapa lulusan UPH cukup baik dalam bekerja dan memenuhi kualifikasi industri OT,” tutur Vitria dari tim rekrutmen Orangtua Group. Ia juga menambahkan bahwa Orangtua Group membuka kurang lebih 20 lowongan pekerjaan untuk berbagai bidang.

Untuk institusi pendidikan seperti YPPH dan UPH, selain kompetensi, pemahaman spiritual akan iman Kristiani juga merupakan elemen yang dipertimbangkan. YPPH membuka lowongan untuk bekerja sebagai guru maupun staff yang akan di tempatkan di unit-unit sekolah di bawah naungan YPPH.

Hal ini dikonfirmasi oleh Debora Suwono dari Tim Rekrutmen YPPH. “Kita mencari guru dan staff yang bersedia di tempatkan di berbagai unit sekolah yang ada di bawah naungan YPPH yang tersebar di berbagai daerah di Indonesia. Kita juga mencari kandidat-kandidat guru dan staff yang memiliki panggilan dan siap melayani di luar pulau Jawa,” tuturnya.

Pengunjung Career Expo mencakup fresh graduates dan mahasiswa tingkat akhir dari UPH maupun universitas swasta lain dari berbagai daerah seperti Universitas Satya Wacana di Salatiga, Universitas Sanata Dharma di Yogyakarta, dan lain sebagainya. Mereka mengaku merasa terbantu lewat acara ini. Salah satunya Airina dari jurusan Manajemen UPH 2013.

“Career Expo ini membantu sekali untuk saya yang memang sedang mencari pekerjaan, memudahkan untuk saya melihat lowongan kerja yang tersedia dan bervariasi. Dengan kesempatan ini saya berusaha untuk memasukkan CV di mana-mana seperti di BCA, PT Malindo, dan lainnya,” tutur Airina.

Career Expo ini diadakan dua tahun sekali sebagai bentuk kepedulian UPH bagi para alumni maupun pencari kerja lain di daerah Tangerang dan sekitarnya. Sesuai dengan tema yang diusung tahun ini, diharapkan Career Expo dapat menjadi jembatan bagi para kandidat pekerja untuk meraih masa depan yang lebih cerah.

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) held a Career Expo 2017 with the theme “A Bridge to a Brighter Future” on 3-4 March 2017 at Building D Room 502 UPH Karawaci, Tangerang, Banten. This is a collaboration between Alumni and Corporate Relations Department and Faculty of Science and Technology of UPH (FaST).

The job fair was opened for public and presented more than 45 companies and educational institutions. Some of them are PT. Lippo Karawaci Tbk, PT. Bank Central Asia Tbk, Orangtua Group, Berita Satu, Femina Group, Indomaret Group, Suzuki, PT. Ciptadana Securities, Aryaduta, English First and other companies. YPPH and UPH also participated in opening job vacancies in this event.

Every company or institution hoped to find graduates who are competent in their fields. Recruitment team of Orangtua (OT) Group stated that they expected to get human resources with good quality from UPH graduates. “This time many of UPH graduates work at OT, we hope that we can find good quality UPH graduates in food technology. In OT, we see that several UPH graduates are good in working and fulfilling the qualification of our industries,” said Vitria from Recruitment Team of Orangtua Group. She also added that Orangtua Group opens approximately 20 job vacancies in various fields.

For educational institutions such as YPPH and UPH, important requirements are competency and spiritual understanding of Christian faith. YPPH opened several job vacancies as teacher and staff that will be placed in school units under YPPH.

This is confirmed by Debora Suwono from Recruitment Team of YPPH. “We are looking for teachers and staff who are willing to be placed in various schools under YPPH that are spread in several places in Indonesia. We also are looking for teachers and staff candidate who have calling and ready to serve outside Java,” she said.

The visitors of this career expo included fresh graduates and final-year students from UPH and other private universities from various areas such as Universitas Satya Wacana in Salatiga, Universitas Sanata Dharma in Jogjakarta and other universities. They think this event was very useful and helped them a lot. One of them was Airina from Management major, Business School of UPH.

“This Career Expo is really helpful for me who is looking for a job, facilitates me in finding available job vacancy. With this opportunity I try to submit my CV in various places such as BCA, PT Malindo, and many more,” Airina said.

Career Expo is conducted twice a year as a form of UPH’s concern for alumni and other job finders in Tangerang and surrounding areas. In accordance with this year’s theme, we hope that this Career Expo can be a “bridge” for job seekers to reach a brighter future. (IA)
